Online and WebCT Courses

Currently, the Department of Psychology offers seven classes fully online- Introduction to Psychology, Health Psychology, Human Growth and Development, Cognitive Processes, Theories of Personality, Female Sexuality, and Psychology of Women. Online courses are often convenient alternative to regular on campus classes for students with busy schedules or wishing to learn independently. Online courses have an additional fee on top of the regular tuition costs.

Many campus- based courses offered through the Department of Psychology require students to use WebCT or some version of an online learning tool. Often these are indicated by the term Web Assisted Class when you register for the course. Course exams, evaluations, emails, general announcements and resources necessary for completing assignments are sometimes access by students through these secure online environments. This means that students in these courses must have access to the internet throughout the semester.

For those students who are unable to use the internet at home, Florida International University has several computer labs on campus for students to use at no cost. If you feel that you will not be able to meet this online learning requirement, you should not register for these types of courses.

Students logging in to WebCT for on campus lecture section courses must go to ce6.fiu.edu to access their courses

Students registered in fully online section courses shoul also go to ce6.fiu.edu to their access courses
